Yes. Kernel parameters live in sysfs (/sys/devices/system/cpu, /sys/block, /sys/class/power_supply) and need Magisk / KernelSU / APatch superuser access.
No. DFG kernel nodes are a fast-path; standard sysfs nodes are used automatically on any kernel. Unsupported nodes show N/A instead of failing.

Writes are validated against kernel-advertised options, verified by read-back, and risky toggles need confirmation. Reboot reverts everything unless boot persistence re-applies it.
